Master Plan Update

Hayes Township Public Hearing Master Plan Update

The Hayes Township Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Friday, January 24, 2020 beginning at 7:00 pm in the Hayes Township Hall at 09195 Old US 31 N, Charlevoix, Michigan 49720 to accept comments on the proposed Master Plan Update.

The draft Master Plan is available on-line at www.hayestownshipmi.gov. Additionally, hard copies can be viewed at the Hayes Township office at 09195 Old US 31 N, Charlevoix, Michigan 49720 as well as the Charlevoix Public Library at 220 Clinton Street, Charlevoix, Michigan 49720.

Written comments may be submitted in advance of the public hearing to: Ron VanZee, 09195 Old US 31 N, Charlevoix, Michigan 49720.

Helping Hands

Thanks to the amazing generosity of Hayes Township residents, our free little pantry has overflowed into the township hall.  In addition to the food in the outdoor pantry, inside we have toiletries, canned goods, baking supplies, cereal, rice, mac & cheese and many other items available.
If you or someone you know is in need of any of these items, please feel free to come in and load a few bags up.  The office is open on Monday 9-12, Tuesday 8:30-12, Wednesday 8:30-4, and Thursday 8:30-12.
We are also more than happy to deliver things to anyone who is unable to come out.  Just give Julie or Kristin a call at (231)547-6961and we will bring whatever you need to you.
