Hayes Township Planning Commission Special Hearing
DATE: At this time the meeting will be tabled/postponed till August 20, 2019.
Team Elmer’s Application for a Special Use Permit to allow them to locate and operate a Concrete Batch Plant resulted in a hearing having been held by the Planning Commission on March 12, 2019.
At that meeting, Team Elmer’s requested the matter be postponed until the April 16, 2019 Planning Commission meeting. A few days later, Team Elmer’s requested the matter be further postponed until the June 18, 2019 meeting. Team Elmers requested a further postponement to July 16, 2019 prior to the April Planning Commission meeting. As a result of this request, the Planning Commission at their April 16th meeting approved the request to postpone consideration on Team Elmer’s Special Use Permit Application to the July 16, 2019 meeting.
At the May 21, 2019 Planning Commission meeting a request to further postpone the Elmer’s Special Use Permit hearing until the August 20, 2019 regular meeting date was approved.
No other action in regard to Team Elmer’s Special Use Permit Application took place at the May 21, 2019 meeting.

Special Use Permit and Site Plan Review
The Planning Commission will hold a public hearing
The purpose of the hearing is to accept public comments on an application from Elmer’s Real Estate Company LLC for a Special Use Permit and Site Plan Review to operate a Concrete Batch Plant at 07889 Boyne City/Charlevoix Road having the tax identification numbers of 15_007_002_011_00 and 15_007_002_009_00.
The property is zoned General Industrial (I-1). A copy of the proposed site plan is available here and for review at the Hayes Township Hall during normal office hours.
Comments may be mailed to the Township Hall at the above listed address, emailed to email@example.com, faxed to 231-237-0046 or made in person at the hearing.
